
Get to Know the Owner...
Karla's career and passion in the field of speech-language pathology began during her undergraduate studies at St. John's University, where she obtained a bachelor’s degree in Speech Language Pathology and Audiology. She then went on to pursue her Master's degree in the Field of Speech Language Pathology and Bilingualism at Hofstra University. Once completing her graduate degree, Karla obtained her New York State license as a Speech Language Pathologist. She later earned her permanent certification as a Teacher of Students with Speech and Language disorders and Bilingual Extension Certificate, through the New York State Education department, while working with the NYC Department of education. She also holds, the Certificate of Clinical Competence from the American Speech and Hearing Association. Karla’s expertise flourished, while gaining outstanding experience working with clients, in a variety of different settings. Karla has worked with various reputable agencies providing early intervention, CPSE, and CSE service. Karla also has an abundance of experience completing monolingual and bilingual evaluations for individuals of varying age groups.
